Don Quijote is the #1 Japanese grocery store in Hawaii with 3 locations in the islands and all over Japan.

I started managing this account when it had less than 2,000 followers and no original content — only stock photos. In less than a year, I increased its following by over 300% by creating original content such as product/lifestyle photos, how-to reels, and engaging copy.

I experimented with a few types of content before figuring out what Don Quijote’s followers wanted: how-tos of foods popular in Hawaii and new and exciting products imported from Japan. With this kind of content and some stock photos the company provides for sales promotions, I have kept the account growing in followers and engagement daily.
